


Havana Cultura with Gilles Peterson
Fostering cultural exchange from Cuba to the world
A multi-market, multichannel campaign with art, community and collaboration at itβs core. Havana Cultura Mix was a social enterprise, creative platform, 360 degree campaign and music album curated by Gilles Peterson, Havana Club and Brownswood Recordings that brought together Cuban artists with 10 up-and-coming international producers from Russia, Hungary, Chile, Germany, Norway, South Africa and the UK.
My team was responsible for visual identity, product and platform development, grassroots recruitment, content, PR, media, experiential, and we worked closely with Brownswood Recordings and Havana Club on the music production and release process. Socially, this campaign provided a global platform and income for incredibly talented international artists. Some, suffering wide economic hardships, the effects of dictatorship and the (then) US X Cuba trade sanctions. Through their ongoing work in Cuba and with Gilles, Havana Club have developed a credible voice in world music and creative discovery. Hear the album here.
